I grew up in Arkansas during my high school years. My favorite thing to do was watch the fireflies. They were beautiful when they dance in the night sky. The thirteen dashes represent our family of thirteen family members. Look for the firefly in all of my books and remember to be like a firefly - be full of bright ideas, pulse with excitement, have a healthy glow, delight in the summer evenings, keep a childlike sense of wonder, set a shining example and lighten up!

I write all the time. Some are stories and somethings are just ideas. I have three books in the illustration stage and a series about my childhood in the outline/writing stages. I have a list of ideas. So, who knows what will be next.

No! I just like to draw and paint. I use mixed media to create my art. Sometimes, it is just watercolor and ink and other times it is markers, colored pencils and acrylic paint.
